Carbon Monoxide detector Using Arduino Pro-Mini

ABOUT THIS PROJECT

STORY:

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is slightly less dense than air. It is toxic to haemoglobin animals (including human). 0In the atmosphere, it is spatially variable and short-lived, having a role in the formation of ground-level ozone.

Carbon monoxide is a deadly gas that can be generated in your own home without your knowledge. It is odorless, colorless, and tasteless, which makes it very difficult to detect. Appliances such as space heaters, gas stoves, furnaces, heaters, and refrigerators can all emit CO if poorly ventilated.

Description of Sensor: This is a simple-to-use Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor, suitable for sensing CO concentrations in the air. The MQ-7 can detect CO-gas concentrations anywhere from 20 to 2000ppm.

This sensor has a high sensitivity and fast response time. The sensor’s output is an analog resistance. The drive circuit is very simple; all you need to do is power the heater coil with 5V, add a load resistance, and connect the output to an ADC.

This sensor comes in a package similar to our MQ-3 alcohol sensor, and can be used with the breakout board below.

  1. Right here is the perfect web site for anyone who hopes to find out about this topic. You understand a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I really would want laugh out loud). You certainly put a new spin on a subject which has been discussed for decades. Wonderful stuff, just excellent!

    1. Hi Dania, I understand what it is to really laugh out loud on a any topic. But the thing is it depends on nation, cities, town and areas which demands to be taught from the scratch. Here in India there are many technologies which are becoming obsolete because they don’t have much to contribute so this effort of mine is just helping those who are still seeking for a dedicated simple and free services and I not only run this blog but I am an Embedded Engineer in John Deere India.

Thank You so much for your comment.

  2. of course like your web site however you have to test the spelling on several of your posts. Many of them are rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to inform the reality then again I’ll certainly come back again.
